Abstract of the 140th meeting of CCEP
The 140th meeting of the Coordinating Committee for Earthquake Prediction (CCEP) was held at the Kanto Regional Survey Department of the GSI on Nov. 24,2000. Universities and national research institutes reported and discussed the results of observations and investigations about seismic and crustal activities in Japan. Main topics of discussions are listed below.
- Seismic activities of Japan.
- Crustal deformations by the earthquake and the volcanic activity of the Izu islands.
- Seismic activities and the Crustal deformations of the Tokai district.
- Seismic activities of the Kyushu district.
- Reports of the 2000 Tottori-ken seibu earthquake.
