Abstract of the 178th meeting of CCEP

 The 178th meeting of the Coordinating Committee for Earthquake Prediction (CCEP) was held at the Kanto Regional Survey Department of the GSI on Aug. 18,2008. Observation data and research results about seismic activities and crustal deformations in Japan were reported and discussed. In particular, The Iwate-Miyagi Nairiku Earthquake in 2008 and the Earthquake in Central Region of Iwate Prefecture were examined in detail.
