Abstract of the 144th meeting of CCEP
The 144th meeting of the Coordinating Committee for Earthquake Prediction (CCEP) was held at the Kanto Regional Survey Department of the GSI on Aug. 20,2001. Universities and national research institutes reported and discussed the results of observations and investigations about seismic and crustal activities in Japan. Main topics of discussions are listed below.
- Seismic activities of Japan.
- Seismic activities and the Crustal deformations of the Tokai district.
- fig. 2 Seismic activities in the crust near the inferred locked zone of the Tokai earthquake since 1997. (JMA)
