Abstract of the 183rd meeting of CCEP

 The 183rd meeting of the Coordinating Committee for Earthquake Prediction (CCEP) was held at the Kanto Regional Survey Department of the GSI on Aug, 21,2009. At first, there were reports and discussions about the earthquake of Suruga Bay on August 11,2009. Afterwards, Observation data and research results about seismic activities and crustal deformations in Japan were reported and discussed. Moreover, "Monitoring of coupling and slip on the shallow plate boundary" as intensive discussion subject were discussed.
